Hi Donna,I think one good approach is to simlpy go slow. If you feel you can only do 10 minutes of socializing, try phone calls or a walk. Try to create weekly goals for socializing that are not burdensome or complicated. Instead of dinner, try meeting for coffee. Instead of having people over, suggest meeting for a movie and dessert or a hike or walk in the park. Try to use opportunities to connect with people on a day-to-day basis, such as just chatting a little with the bank teller, the person in line behind you at the grocery, or someone sitting next to you at a meeting or in church. You can reach out to people by facebook, email, phone in a way that is more on your schedule. I think you can share your own ideas with your friend about your plans to increase social contact, but not try to force her. Hope this helps a little.

You left a pretty tyicapl argentinian meal and that's the picada . Usually served between 7 and 9, it consist of, usually, a meat and cheese platter with bread and served with beer or wine; It's what I miss the most whenever I'm abroad.
